1. Chargers (11-2) With the way LT is playing one would argue that any team could win with him, but it's the suprising play of Philip Rivers, who mind you was taken as a replacement for an unhappy Eli Manning. Ask Charger fans now if they would rather have Eli, and I doubt you could find a taker. This will be Rivers team for a while, and the future looks good.
2. Saints (9-4)What more can you ask for from a team in the situation The Saints found themselves in earlier this year? Reggie Bush may not only be the savior to the Saints organization, he could also be considered the motiovational savior to the city of New Orleans itself.
3. Ravens (10-3) With a team that is just averaging 98 yards a game on the ground, Baltimore will only go as far as Steve McNair can go, remember Ravens fans, Steve has alot of milage, and he has got to get through December to make it to the playoffs. The only thing stopping this team is the questionable offense.
4. Bears (11-2)What can I say Devon Hester is an unbelieveable playmaker, and the Bear defense did what it usually does week in and week out against the Rams, the only question mark is which Rex Grossman will show up on Sunday, so far 13-23 200yds and 2 TD against the Rams, thats a start.
5. Patriots (9-4)Its hard to say whats up with the Patriots these days. Tom Brady and company usually don't seem to struggle as they did against Miami, but with alot of holes at wide reciever, a running game won't get you all the way. Patriots might be an early out in the playoffs this year.
6. Bengels (8-5)This team has the best wide reciever corps in football. Look for Palmer to really step up his game as the last quarter of the season goes on. Bengels could make a run, only if these guys stay out of trouble. Chris I'm talkin to you.
7. Colts (10-3)Peyton Manning just might be the next Dan Marino, its unfortunate but realistically when you let teams run all over you like that no matter how many times you can score, you wont win when your offense is not on the field. This Colts defense is definatley the worst they have been in the past four years.
8. Jaguars (8-5)The Jags are still a mystery to some, but with tough games left on their schedule between Cincinatti and Denver. Depending on which Jaguar team shows up, Jack DelRio might be wearing his new reebook suit to the country club come playoffs.
9.Seahawks (8-5)Can they go the distance again? It is obvious they certainly miss their former offensive linemen Steve Hutchinson this year, maybe he should have been on the Madden cover instead of Alexander? Those offensive linemen just never get enough credit.............Seahawks could stumble during the final stretch.
Playoffs Anyone?
10. Cowboys (8-5)Ah how the Dallas Cowboys got sucked back into a very wild division. Three weeks ago one would have thought that it was all locked up, but now that Eagle game on Christmas Day is a little more important than it once seemed. Garcia vs. Owens, how bittersweet could it be? Should be a fun one, I expect a ton of media hype. Also don't forget that Romo's inexperience could catch up to them to, yea hes been on a team for four years, but starting six games doesn't mean your ready for playoff football, Romo's inexperience could be this teams downfall.
11. Jets (7-6)The New York Jets, the suprise team of the league so far. Eric Mangini certainly has a future ahead of himself with this team. It clear that The Jets obviously need a running game, and with the way Kellen Clemens is playing in practice, Chad better step it up, cause he might just run out of time in New York. If the Jets make the playoffs this year don't count them out too early, this could be a dangerous team. Pending they don't stumble down the stretch like so many other Jet teams, but their running game certainly won't take them to the promised land this year. Adriean Peterson do you like New York?
12. Giants (7-6)The Giants seem to just play on Sundays they want to play. Tikki is leaving next year, he wants to be a reporter, and Coughlin might be out of a job. Giant fans don't wanna hear it, but this squad is litterally one disaster away from a rebuilding year next year.
13. Falcons (7-6)Mike Vick can certainly make a name for himself this week when they take on the Cowboys. If the Falcons win you can't count them out either, but Mike Vick can't do it all alone anymore. They go as far as the recievers can take them now.
14. Eagles (7-6)Could the Eagles have the best backup in the league? I say yes, Garcia has come in and played very well. After getting hounded with boos against Carolina and holding the ball against Washington to finish the game, something McNabb never did this year the Eagles can't ask for much more, and with Garcia throwing for over three hundred everygame hes been in, and haing 8 TD and 0 INT, the Eagles don't have to worry about scoring points, they need to worry about the other team scoring points. Dont be shocked if these boys make a run, remember if Andy Reid can make Jay Feely look like the next Joe Montana running the table to the NFC Championship, why not Jeff Garcia?15. Chiefs (7-6)Chiefs fans will slowly understand why Jets fans didn't feel bad seeing Herm go. Defensivley the man knows what he is doing, but on offense it's the same old story, poor utilization of his premier weapons. Look for the Chiefs to flounder down the stretch.
16. Titans (6-7)Vince Young will win a Superbowl with this team one day.
17. Broncos (7-6)Selecting Cutler to go over the experience of Jake "The Snake" down the toughest stretch of the schedule might have been a bad idea, and Denver fans might find that out the hard way. Then again, he could be a stud, but he certainly has to pick it up compared to the other two quarterbacks in his draft class.
Some of these NFC Teams might make it, as for these AFC teams, it's last call...........
18. Bills (6-7)Bills fans might see this team go 8-8 maybe 9-7 but with Loesman as the quarterback thats not gonna happen. God if they had a decent QB with some command, Willis McGahee wouldn't have to carry this team on his own every Sunday.
19. Steelers (6-7)It's sad to see the Superbowl XL Champs down here with the teams most people thought they would be much better than, but when your franschise quarterback is one hit away from retirement, someone should ask, why didn't Batch start the season? Maybe they would be in contention still...........
20. Vikings (6-7)Brad Childress has done a decent job with the Vikings, and in the NFC this teams still got a chance. The running defense is amazing, but the passing certainly is not. If they can stop Chad Pennington this up coming week from doing to them what he did to Green Bay's bad pass "D" we might see them make a run.
21. Panthers (6-7)Time to think about the future. Weinkee is definatley not the guy, and with a draft class that has maybe a handful of solid quarterbacks, its time to think about replacing Delhomme. Jake ya did great man, but it just wasn't ment to be.
22. Dolphins (6-7)This team is just an inconsistant team. Starting the season slow is the same old story in Miami. Who do you blame? Coaching, with the talent they have this team should have been prepared to compete this year. Yet again they will certainly miss the playoffs. Look for them to spoil the Jets season on New Years Eve.
Waiting for the nightmare to end............
23. Packers (5-8)Brett Favre to me is a legend, but as I get older, and his career lags on, I have slowly forgotton the legend, and I am starting to remember the old man thats gonna get hurt badly one day. Brett your one of a kind, and I'm sure your family wants you home in one piece. Please just let it go. You got a ring and your number will for sure be retired in Green Bay, Green Bay of all places! Brett just let it go man, don't you wan't to be able to walk with your grandkids one day?
24. Rams (5-8)I am dissappointed with the Rams this year. Marc Bulger was off to a hot start in the beginning of the season, but with injuries this team just couldn't hold it together. The line needs work. At least they should get a decent pick, maybe even trade up for a wide reciever. Calvin Johnson out of Georgia Tech? Imagine that show on turf, Bugler has the arm.
25. Browns (4-9)With the way this team played against the Steelers this past week, I wonder if they will even win anymore games. If Kellen Winslow really want's to do something, he should shut his mouth and be a leader. Just playing the game of football with acctuall results speaks by itself. Lets face it kid your no Mark Bravaro, he was a true "soilder."
26. Texans (4-9)It was mean enough what Vince Young did to them this past week. Running the game winning touchdown to really rub it in to his hometown team that chose Mario Williams over him, but hey at least the Texans will have a high pick in the draft again, too bad theres no Reggie Bush this time. Time to get a new QB, we all know the David Carr era is comin to an end.
27. 49ers (5-8)Frank Gore is certainly back. Once Alex Smith gets it, this team will be a decent team. As Seattle's window slowly closes, the Niners slowly opens. I say San Fran wins their division next year. They just need that one specialty player, maybe a wide reciever.
28. Cardnials (4-9)The future looks pretty good in Arizona, Leinhart will soon come into his own, and the team will develop around him. The running game has struggled still, and that is because the offensive line needs some help. Ever heard of Dan Mozes out of WVU? Don't be suprised if they pick up the All Big East center.
29. Redskins (4-9)I don't even know what to say. Just give me your money instead. With all that spending the Redskins managed to do in this offseason they look like the New York Yankees of football, except the Yankees atleast make the playoffs. Seriously though just send me the check next time.
30. Buccaniers (3-10)John Gruden probabley would love to move on to next season right about now. But even next season there will be many questions with this team. The draft should be interesting, look for them to maybe try to improve offensivley, a QB might be a must. Gradakowski has played well, but he is lacks command of this team.
31. Raiders (2-11)Troy Smith is the only answer for this team. LaMont Jordan prooved he wasn't. He has obviously showed he can't handle being the featured back, then again they have no quarterback, and Art Shell lets his team do whatever they want. Is Randy Moss still on the team? Is this Raider footbal Al? I'm sure good old Weeb Ewbank is gettin a chuckle at this one.
32. Lions (2-11) Just think Brady Quinn, and nothing else. At least the pitchers report to camp in a couple of months for the Tigers. Maybe the Red Wings or the Pistons can make a run to, but seriously there is no football team in Detroit. More people will show up for Wrestlemania in April than for anymore Lions games.
